Cordoba, the seat of Europe’s first university was once the premier city of the Western Word. It has evolved into a commercial center where most tourists love strolling the ancient cobblestone streets. The city is decorated with beautiful tiled fountains and lush flowers.

You can explore the tree-lined historical and Jewish quarters on foot. This is one of the best ways to find beautiful patios and alleyways. Cordoba has a unique charm where strolling in the streets will make you fall in love with its century-old secrets.

You will be fascinated by the Festival de Los Patios (Cordoba Patios Festival) that attracts nature lovers every spring. The beautiful floral gardens and Andalusian courtyards are the main attractions.

Cordoba will fascinate you with the art and history of religious Muslim art, white-washed streets, fountains, and flowers.  This ancient city is a great cultural reference point in Europe that has been declared a World Heritage Site. It contains a mixture of the diverse cultures that have settled it throughout history.

Visit the Jewish Quarter and get lost in the amazing network of streets!! The Jewish quarter is a complex and a great little maze of street network with a typical Andalusian flavour. Cordoba, once considered the most populous city in the world had been home to a thriving Jewish community. The ancient neighborhood of buildings is now one of the most famous Juderias (Jewish Quarters) in Spain. It is part of the historic center of Córdoba which was named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. For a unique experience, wander in the narrow lanes and experience the charm of fascinating Jewish culture that has hidden treasure around every corner. The Synagogue, one of the three Synagogues in Spain is situated in the center of this traditional neighborhood.

The Mezquita is enough reason to put Cordoba on your itinerary. It is representative of the sophisticated culture that flourished more than a millennium ago.

Cordoba had been Western Europe’s biggest and most cultured city.
