˝Málaga City is the sixth most populated city in Spain. Its perfect location gives it a privileged spot in South Spain.
The city covers about 398 km2/153.669 m2 and has more than 574.654 inhabitants (however about a million people live in the metropolitan area).
The main geographical attractions of Malaga have always been the two river valleys (the Guadalhorce and the Guadalmedina), the mountain range (Sierras de Málaga) and the mediterranean climate.
The Mediterranean Sea covers the whole Málaga coastline, whereas the Mountains behind the city protect it from the cold winds. All these factors form a unique regulating effect which gives Málaga area these mild and sought-after temperatures.
